Billing Cycle & Payment Structure

mennu operates on a post-usage billing model. You are charged only after completing a full billing cycle of service usage.

How billing works

  • Subscription charges are processed at the end of each billing cycle
  • You pay only after using the service for the complete billing period
  • Billing cycles are monthly, starting from your subscription activation date
  • No upfront charges or advance payments required
  • Payment is processed automatically via phonepe at cycle completion

Billing cycle example

If you subscribe on January 15th, your first billing cycle runs from January 15th to February 14th. Payment is processed on February 14th for the completed month of service.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds are available under specific circumstances, primarily for service issues or billing errors.

Eligible for refund

  • Service outages or technical failures preventing access for more than 48 hours
  • Billing errors or duplicate charges
  • Unauthorized transactions on your account
  • Service cancellation within 7 days of first payment (if applicable)
  • Downgrade requests where you were incorrectly charged for a higher tier

Not eligible for refund

  • Cancellation after completing a full billing cycle (you have already used the service)
  • Change of mind after using the service for the billing period
  • Non-usage of features or services during your active subscription
  • Cancellation due to violation of Terms of Service
  • Partial month usage (since billing occurs after cycle completion)

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

How to cancel

  • Cancel anytime from your dashboard under Billing settings
  • Cancellation is immediate and prevents auto-renewal
  • You retain access to all features until the end of your current billing cycle
  • No cancellation fees or penalties apply
  • Cancellation confirmation is sent via email
  • Cancellations should be done within 7 days
  • Refund will be credited within 5-10 days to the original payment method

After cancellation

Once you cancel, your subscription will not renew at the end of the current billing cycle. Since billing occurs post-usage, you will not be charged for the next cycle. Your account will be downgraded to the free tier after the cycle ends.

Refund Process

Refund requests are processed within 5-10 business days after approval.

Requesting a refund

  • Contact support at support@mennu.in with your refund request
  • Include your account email, subscription details, and reason for refund
  • Provide transaction ID or payment reference number if available
  • Refund requests are reviewed within 2-3 business days
  • Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method

Processing timeline

  • Review period: 2-3 business days
  • Refund processing: 5-10 business days after approval
  • Bank/credit card processing: Additional 3-5 business days (varies by payment method)
  • You will receive email confirmation at each stage

Plan Changes & Downgrades

Changing or downgrading your plan may affect billing and refund eligibility.

Upgrading plans

Upgrading to a higher tier takes effect immediately. You will be charged the prorated difference for the remaining billing cycle, and the new plan rate applies from the next cycle.

Downgrading plans

  • Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle
  • You retain access to premium features until cycle completion
  • No refunds for the difference in plan costs (you have used the premium features)
  • New plan rate applies from the next billing cycle

Special Circumstances

Additional refund considerations for exceptional situations.

Service interruptions

If mennu experiences service outages exceeding 48 hours that prevent you from using core features, you may be eligible for a prorated refund or service credit for the affected period.

Payment failures

  • Failed payments do not result in immediate service termination
  • You have a 7-day grace period to update payment information
  • Service continues during the grace period
  • If payment cannot be processed after grace period, account is suspended
  • No refunds for service suspension due to payment failure

Account termination by mennu

If your account is terminated by mennu due to policy violations, no refunds will be provided for the current or previous billing cycles.

Refund Methods

Refunds are processed to your original payment method.

  • Refunds are credited to the original payment method used for subscription
  • Credit card refunds appear within 5-10 business days
  • Bank transfer refunds may take 7-14 business days
  • UPI refunds are processed within 3-5 business days
  • Refund confirmation includes transaction details and reference number

Disputes & Appeals

If you disagree with a refund decision, you can appeal.

  • Contact support@mennu.in to appeal a refund decision
  • Provide additional documentation or context for your case
  • Appeals are reviewed by our billing team within 5 business days
  • Final decisions are communicated via email
  • For payment disputes, you may also contact phonepe support directly
